Xiaoxing Chen (b. 1999) is a writer-director from Shenzhen, China, now based in Brooklyn.

Her work delves into the intersections of vulnerability, death, and humanity, often incorporating surrealist elements within everyday, slice-of-life narratives. A quiet person by nature, she finds strength in subtlety, creating films that emphasize the power of silence and the unspoken.

She sheds many tears, which she tries to bury in her films.

In addition to writing and directing her own shorts, she serves as an Assistant Director on set. She is also the videographer for the Philadelphia Orchestra documentary (by Phoenix TV in China), where she has interviewed notable figures such as Nicholas Platt, Ping Huang, Gary Graffman, and Christoph Eschenbach.
